It’s back to the grind after the long weekend. If you couldn’t think of anything to be thankful for this Thanksgiving, here’s a couple. You’re not Kyle Brotzman and you didn’t lose by three points with Mike Goodson, Fred Jackson, and Maurice Morris on your bench like my buddy Mega Marshall… Ouch.
Injury news: Frank Gore (out), Ben Roethlisberger, Adrian Peterson, Vincent Jackson (out), Mike Sims-Walker, Joseph Addai, Antonio Gates, Pierre Thomas, Hakeem Nicks (out), Steve Smith – NYG (out), Brandon Marshall, Mike Williams – SEA, Jahvid Best, Ryan Torain, CJ Spiller, Beanie Wells, Matthew Stafford (out), Ryan Mathews, Austin Collie, Kenny Britt (out), Tony Romo (out).
QB: Matt Cassel, Sam Bradford, Jon Kitna, Shaun Hill, and Chad Henne. Cassel and Bradford enter starter status this week coming off of big games and facing excellent match ups. Henne is worth a flyer for the Fantasy playoffs if you gamble at the QB spot; check his Week 15 and 16 match ups, total goodness.
RB: Brian Westbrook, Toby Gerhart, Jonathan Stewart, Mike Goodson, Maurice Morris, Anthony Dixon, Chris Ivory, Donald Brown, and Marion Barber. Westbrook becomes a RB2 while Dixon is a Flex TD play if Gore is done for the season. Gerhart is a RB2 if Adrian Peterson is sidelined. Stewart is very talented, but he’ll still split carries with Goodson. Don’t get too excited as a Flex spot is all I’ll bet at this point. Morris, Ivory, and Brown are Flex plays, but their value depends solely on the injury status of the running back above them on the depth chart. As always, check the injury reports before deploying any of these guys. Barber is a one week TD play. For some reason the tarot cards are reading twice.
WR: Jacoby Ford, Kevin Walter, Nate Washington, Blair White, Nate Burleson, and Ben Obomanu. Ford is built tough and has the ability to score any time he touches the ball, but he’s a WR3 at best. If Andre Johnson is suspended, Walter would be a solid WR3 option. Washington should be a lower-tier WR2 this week heading into Jacksonville as long as Kerry Collins is throwing him the ball. The rest of the lot are borderline WR3 options.
TE: Kevin Boss and Tony Moeaki. Boss delivered and with the Giants WRs still ailing, expect more of the same. If you don’t like doubling up in back to back weeks, Moeaki has a nice match up; expect a TD.
