Post-Operation Rehab 24

I haven’t had a rehab session in a week, because I’ve been sick.  I’m still not over my cold (sinus, headache, runny nose, body weakness), but I felt well enough for a rehab session today.

I started on the bike for about 10 minutes then moved to the massage table.  After about 10-15 minutes of massage and stretching I moved on to some new exercises.  I did 3 sets of 15 box jumps, 3 sets of 15 jumping lunges, and 4 sets of 10 squat-jumps on the Bosu-ball.  I was pretty winded from the exercises, but I had no knee pain.

I told the PT about the pinching sensation I get when I first start exercising the knee; the PT said I need to massage the scar area to alleviate that pain.  Whenever the PT touches that area it burns!  I’m assuming that’s normal?

On a side note, I went to the orthopedic surgeon on Thursday.  He said everything is going well and I should keep up the strength exercises.  Funny he said that because I haven’t been doing too much of that lately.  He also said no lateral movements without supervision.  Just to show how much I don’t use my hamstrings, when he tested my hamstring strength, my hamstring cramped!
