Kinsler and Phillips

Ian Kinsler has agreed to a five-year, $22 million contract with the Rangers.
Brandon Phillips has agreed to a four-year, $27 million contract with the Reds.
Both 2nd baseman offer HRs and SBs while mildly hurting AVG. With their new contracts, both will have more stability, but will be expected to produce more consistently as well. I’d keep both at their current slots on your Big Board, but I’d watch how they carry themselves during Spring Training, especially Phillips. If he starts acting “Big Time,” I’d drop him a few slots in your 2b Rankings. I expect Kinsler to benefit more from the new contract and produce over last year’s numbers with the added organization confidence.
